Tian Di, female, Han ethnic group, member of Communist Party of China, Master, Associate Professor, Master Supervisor, director of Institute of Folk Music Studies,member of Pipa Society of China Musicians’ Association, member of China Nationalities Orchestra Society, specially invited Pipa player of Gansu Song and Dance Theater.

Career and education:

1997-2001: Bachelor of Pipa performance at the School of Music, Northwest Normal University, after Hou Xinru.

2005-2008: Master of Theory of Traditional Chinese Music at the School of Music, Northwest Normal University, after Hou Xinru.

Teaching at the School of Art of Lanzhou University since 2001.

Training and further education:
March, 2013: Central Conservatory of Music, after professor Zhang Qiang, famous modern Pipa performer, Department of Folk Music.

In 2011, Liu Kerui won the Excellent Performance Award of the youth group in the 1st “Dunhuang Cup” National Pipa Performing Competition;

In 2012, Fan Tianjiao won the gold award of solo Pipa performing of the youth group in Playing for the Expo -- Traditional Culture and Instrumental Music International Invitational Tournament among Chinese and South Korean Youth.

In 2012, Zheng Ce won the first prize of traditional Chinese instruments performing in the university group of the “Youth China” the 7th National Youth Art Talent Competition.

In 2012, Meng Xiaoling won the first prize of instrument performing in the 7th "Haizhou Cup" Art Competition in Campus in Gansu Province.

In 2012, Liu Kerui, Wang Ying and Liu Jianting won the bronze award of Trio Ensemble performing in the 2012 the 1st Liaoyuan International Pipa Arts Festival and International Pipa Performance Competition.

In 2013, Fan Tianjiao won the gold prize of solo Pipa performing in the youth group of China-Thailand Cultural Exchange Season -- Chinese National Instrumental Music Performance International Invitational Tournament.

In 2015, Yin Yunyan won the first prize of Pipa performing in the youth group A of the 5th “Shining China” International Art Talent Exchange Performance in Gansu Province; and the team “Wonderful Sound” won the first prize of group Pipa performing in the youth group A.

In July, 2015, the team “Wonderful Sound” won the bronze prize of Trio Ensemble performing in the 2012 the 2st “Liaoyuan Cup”International Pipa Performing Competition.

In November, 2015, Sun Dandi won the first prize of Pipa performing in the university group of Star of the Silk Road -- My Stage Dream" the 1st Music and Dance Competition in Gansu Province; and the team “Wonderful Sound” won the first prize of Pipa quintet.
